In July 2026, Santosha Mindfulness partnered with Oldways to bring their Heritage Program: Exploring the Mediterranean Diet to the Midlands community. This engaging six-week culinary and wellness experience celebrates the traditions of Mediterranean living by combining wholesome nutrition, mindful eating, and practical lifestyle habits that promote lifelong health and well-being. This partnership aims to make the Mediterranean diet approachable, practical, and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Midlands.
Throughout the six week program, participants will explore the foods, customs, and everyday practices that have made the Mediterranean lifestyle one of the healthiest and most enjoyable ways to live. Through guided discussions and culinary exploration, participants will learn how simple changes can support a more balanced and nourishing approach to everyday life.
Program Details
Dates: September 9, 2026 – October 14, 2026
Day: Wednesdays
Time: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM (EST)
Location: Live online via Zoom and local meets throughout the class
NOTE: If you are not local to the area, you can still join us.
Cost for this program:
Works out to $40 per individual class; however,
Early registration discount: Register by September 1, 2026, and receive all six classes for the amount of $220.
All classroom sessions will be conducted live through Zoom, providing flexibility and accessibility for participants to join from anywhere while still enjoying an interactive learning experience. Check out our EVENTS tab regularly for new course date releases and other cultural food experiences that will be brought to the Midlands through in 2027.
During the six-week course, there will also be two optional lunch gatherings offered at local Midlands restaurants. These informal gatherings provide an opportunity to connect with fellow participants, build community, and enjoy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine together. Participants will be responsible for the cost of their own meals and beverages. This program features authentic Mediterranean recipes and an evidenced-based curriculum. A student digital workbook is included for this program.

OLDWAYS also offers curriculum f0r the Wine and Mediterranean Lifestyle (one class only). Class to be held on Oct 20, 2026 from 4-6pm at 101 Sparkleberry Crossings Road, Columbia, SC. Cost is $50 per person and must be 21+ to attend class session. ID will be checked for this program. Participations will be provided a digital student handbook compliments of OLDWAYS who has partnered with Santosha Mindfulness.
